Welcome to Sujin Headrick's portfolio.

I graduated from Agnes Scott College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and French. While at Agnes Scott I kept myself busy and out of trouble by immersing myself into the art and literary magazine, Infinity Club, and Tower Council. I also served as the Class of 2009 Treasurer for the 2005-2006 academic year and worked in the Math Learning Center as a math learning assistant for my last three years.

I also completed two research projects in mathematics: a project on simulated annealing and sum-free sets as part of a Research Experience for Undergraduates at Clemson University in 2007, and another on normal regular subgroups as an independent study project during my last year at Agnes Scott. Outside of math, I presented a paper on Pluto's demotion to a dwarf planet at SpARC, Agnes Scott's research symposium, in 2007.

After graduation I interned at Several Dancers Core and worked for the United States Census Bureau while writing novels eight through thirteen, beginning to edit one novel, writing my fourth script, and building a wiki for the National Novel Writing Month community. I'm currently looking for a position that will combine a few of my many interests and am particularly interested in startups, creative work, math and science outreach, and online media.

Social media and technology also hold my interest, and I practice what I write. I have blogged in some form since 2001, and I joined Facebook the day I obtained a .edu address. I'm experienced with many of the major social websites. My websites run on WordPress and MediaWiki, both free and open source pieces of software. I believe in the power of the Internet and free culture.

I'm a writer. I've written twelve novels and four scripts through National Novel Writing Month and Script Frenzy's monthlong challenges, including two novels during NaNoWriMo 2009 and three in NaNoWriMo 2010. My craziest writing feat was during the Three-Day Novel contest, during which time I wrote a fifty-thousand word novel in 64 hours. At Agnes Scott I co-wrote a play called Alice in Agnesland that was performed by the junior class to the rest of the school. I also make a habit of updating my primary website daily.

If you think we'd be a good fit, go ahead and get in touch. Even if you don't work in any of my primary interests, try anyway. You may be surprised. I know I've been.
